Eriko sumi

Eriko Sumi, born in Tokyo to the musical family, her grand father was a famous violin pedagogue and her father is a professor at the Toho School of Music.
She has received the Bachelor's degree from the Juilliard school where she has studied with Dorothy Delay and Hyo Kang, chamber music with Samuel Sanders and A.Emilienoff.
At the age of five, She has performed for the Royal Family of Luxembourg also for the Princess of Japan at the Suntory Hall.
She has given many concerts at the most important concert halls in the world: Suntory Hall, Tokyo Opera City Takemitsu Memorial Hall, Tokyo International Forum, Carnegie Weil Recital Hall, Avery Fischer Hall in New York, Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, Gesellshaft fur Musik theater in Vienna.
She has appeared as a soloist with many important orchestra.
The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, The New York Symphonic Ensemble, The New Japan Philharmonic, The Poland National Symphony Orchestra, The Poland National Krakov Chamber Orchestra, The Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, The Kanagawa Symphony Orchestra, The Sofia National Philharmonic, The Latvia Chamber Orchestra, Tokyo Mozart Players, Royal Metropolitan Orchestra
She won the First Prize Michelangelo Abbado International Violin Competition, winner of young violin competition of Long Island, All Japan Student National Music Competition in 1986 and 1987 received Carinthicum Prize form Carinzia Austria
She has made her CD of Prokofiev's violin sonata No.2 and Grieg's violin sonata No.3. She has recorded virtuositic show piece, Sarasate, Paganini (Carmen Fantasy, I Paloiti etc) with the Sofia National Philharmonic.
She was invited to the important music festival: Napoli il Festival Maggio della Musica, Notturni in Villa in Milano, Festival Umberto Gtordano, Meister konzerte della Renania Polatinato in Germany.
Many appearance on TV, Radio and has been praised highly from important news papers and the magazine.
Her beautiful sound and dynamic performances have always inspired audiences.
